The Opportunity
A leading Investment Bank in Sydney is seeking a Windows Infrastructure Engineer to join their high-performing team. This is a hands-on, technical role where you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the bank’s core Windows infrastructure, including Citrix environments, to support critical trading and financial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage Windows-based infrastructure for high availability and performance.
- Automate infrastructure tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
- Manage enterprise endpoint solutions with SCCM, Intune, and MS Entra ID.
- Oversee and optimize Citrix environments, ensuring seamless remote access and application delivery.
- Maintain security, compliance, and patch management across the Windows ecosystem.
- Support Active Directory, Group Policy, and authentication services.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation and evaluation of new technologies.
Key Requirements:
- Strong experience in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) administration.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
- Hands-on experience with SCCM, Intune, and MS Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
- Expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop), including troubleshooting and optimization.
- Knowledge of networking, security best practices, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Experience in the financial services or banking sector is advantageous.
